Childhood

The National Immunisation Program aims to reduce diseases that can be prevented by vaccination. Vaccinations under the National Immunisation Program are free for all eligible people, beginning from the age of 2 months through to 16 years. If your child has missed any childhood or high school vaccinations or has come from overseas, our qualified immunisation nurses can organise a catch-up vaccination schedule an upload any overseas vaccinations to the Australian Immunisation Register. Vaccinations are administered by our experience immunisation endorsed nurses, who are highly skilled at minimising any stress and anxiety, as well as pain.

COVID-19

We are offering Pfizer Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccinations in our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. The COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic is run as a nurse facilitated clinic and do not allow time for consultations or questions with your GP. If you have any questions or concerns about receiving the vaccination, you are required to book an appointment with your usual GP first.

Influenza

The annual influenza vaccination is recommended from April onward for people aged 6 months and over to protect against the most common strains of the virus. The influenza vaccine is free for people at increased risk, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over, children aged 6 months to under 5 years, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy, people with certain chronic conditions, and people aged 65 years or over.

Other (Prolia, Shingles, B12, Whooping Cough, Pneumonia, Immunotherapy, & other injections)

Based on your specific health needs, your GP may recommend vaccines and injections outside of the National Immunisation Program. Examples of these include Prolia for osteoporosis, Shingles vaccination, Vitamin B12, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Pneumonia, Immunotherapy, and other injections. While iHealth Centre stocks a wide range of vaccines, you may require a script to purchase some of the aforementioned injections from a pharmacy prior to your injection appointment.
